My favorite activity to do when I am trapped under a sea of sleeping or nursing babies with only my cellphone to entertain me is to shop online. But I never actually purchase anything. I simply “browse” through the digital store aisles, add things to my shopping cart, and then in the morning when things are a bit more lucid, I decide if this is a worthy purchase or something that needs to be returned to the “shelf.”
Lately my Amazon cart has been filled with both functional items I actually could use and random splurges. So today I thought it would be fun to share my latest shopping cart finds.
1. New York in Bloom // 2. watering can // 3. piano key stickers // 4. stain remover // 5. silicone straws // 6. kids backpack // 7. Pehr toy basket //8. yoga pants // 9. organic baby formula // 10. 200 piece puzzle // 11. slides // 12. shh portable sound machine //
// my cart //
- I love all of Gerogiana Lane’s books and a new coffee table book would be a fun splurge.
2. I am in desperate need of a new watering can and this one is cute enough I can leave on the front porch for all the neighborhood to see.
3. Liam has restarted piano lessons but we quickly realized he has forgotten his keys! Whoops! So I am hoping these stickers will help!
4. I added a new-to-me spray stain remover because, my goodness, these children are messy. I have heard this thing is magic so I am excited to finally try it myself. Adulthood = getting excited about stain remover.
5. Are you team stainless steel straws or silicone straws? I thought I would try these this time.
6. New book bag for my rising kindergartener! I also want to get the camera bag insert for my bag!
7. We always need new storage baskets for our growing assortment of toy dinosaurs.
8. I recently renewed my membership at my local yoga studio so hoping some new yoga pants will motivate me to go to class.
9. I am going to start keeping formula on standby at home for when grandma is here watching the twins. This one came highly recommended as the closest tasting to breast milk.
10. My family is really into puzzles. And although Liam is only 5, he loves to work on advanced level 200 piece puzzles. We keep it on the dining room table and anytime he is “bored” it gives him something to work on! Plus it’s the only activity that he can work on for a few days at a time versus most activities he is done with after an hour or so. We love the Ravensbruger puzzles so I just bought, of course, a dinosaur themed one to work on next week.
11. New slides for me since I broke my last pair at the beach!
12. We need a new portable sound machine for the babies and I love that this one has the “shhh” sound. Olive calms very well with this. And this is a machine is a much better price oint than the name brand Shusher machine.
That’s all! Perhaps I will make this a new series and start sharing my shopping cart once a season/quarter. It qould be fun to also go back and see where my mind once during that moment in my life. Hope anyone reading this is having a great summer!
May your hearts be as full as your shopping carts! xx
