The season between summer and Christmas is very short in Charleston. We don’t need thick wool jackets until late into December (if ever!) and wearing scarfs in the fall would purely be for decoration. But I love the colors of the season, the browns and burnt oranges and olive green and of course all the check and plaid prints. It just makes me feel like I am in Vermont leaf peeping the fall foliage and not sitting in the grind of carpool lines and dentist appointments.
I picked out just a few new fall items for me and the kids to wear this season and a few I left behind in the cart. Sharing all of my favorites below including my favorite Janie and Jack dress (currently on sale!) that Olive wore this weekend to the pumpkin patch:
