Something about the autumn season always screams overalls. I don’t know why but overalls are the official toddler uniform for fall and it just makes perfect sense. This might be the last year the twins will be able to squeeze their considerably lengthy Sasquatch legs into a pair of overalls and quite possibly the last time I can get away with calling them “toddlers.”
Life has felt very heavy lately trying to check in on our friends impacted by Hurricane Helene, gathering supplies to send to Western North Carolina, and not knowing how long the recovery of our beloved mountain community will take. So we decided to cancel our after school plans on Friday and find some joy at home in Charleston decorating our pumpkin patch for the year.
The kids are wearing their new overalls I picked up this week. Long green overalls for Ziggy and a matching overall dress for my pretty princess girl Olive who loves to wear dresses and skirts every day.
The pumpkin patch this year is taking on more of a spooky “skeleton grave yard” theme but I love it. It even includes a doggie skeleton which the kids have affectionately named “Legolas” after our beloved pup who is no longer with us. Not sure if this is odd or adorable but I am just going with it.
Here are a few more favorite overalls I have found for this season. Happy fall everyone! xx
