School is officially out for the summer and I can already hear the cries of “mommy, I am booooored” echoing in the back of my brain. My oldest son Liam is a busy body who constantly wants an activity or a project. He is also a big time gamer and if he isn’t working on a project or task he will gravitate to his Nintendo Switch or IPAD and become a zombie for the next several hours.
So in an effort to keep their young minds engaged, to provide an appropriate amount of screen time, and to keep my sanity in check, I have created a few templates for us to use this summer and I am happy to be sharing them here.
The first template I made is a daily schedule for Monday- Fridays when we are not at camp or away on vacation. Liam is a Type A, very much like this father. Bear and I, on the other hand, are more of the “fly by the moment” kind of people. So although it kills me to a have a “schedule” for every waking moment, I know this will be good for Liam to have a written schedule of things he can be doing.
The second template is a “List of Things to Do When I am Bored.” I made ours specifically with Bear and Liam in mind that have activities they can do independently and safety in case I am helping the babies or if we have some down time with nothing going on but you could switch your list up for different activities more geared towards your child.
Here are the two templates as a JPEG. Just right click, save, and print! Hope you all have a fun, safe, NOT BORING summer! xx
