During the Christmas holidays I’m able to maintain a somewhat minimalist decorating style, but for Halloween I abide by the more- is-more philosophy which is why each trip to the grocery store I end up leaving with two or three more pumpkins. It’s an addiction. I let the Halloween fever take over me and I end up spending an unnecessary amount of money on pumpkins!
My go-to for pumpkins each year is Trader Joe’s. Their selection of “fantasy pumpkins” is pretty good for $7.99 a piece. I usually stock up on the green pumpkins, the flat stackable pumpkins, light pink pumpkins, and the always harder to find light blue “Cinderella” pumpkins. But the 7.99 a piece starts to add up. And by mid November, I’m throwing that money literally into the garbage.
This year in an effort to save future-Priscilla some money, I decided to mix in a few faux pumpkins to my porch set up. Can you tell in the photo below which ones are fake?
Some of my favorite faux pumpkins are listed below. Many are already on sale so stock up for this year and next!
1.Tall White Pumpkin 2. Terracotta pumpkin with hat 3. White jack-o-latern 4. Faux Sage Pumpkin 5. Orange Cinderella pumpkin 6. Mini white pumpkins
(I make a very small commission for every purchase you make through my links and that money is used to pay off our infertility bills… not more pumpkins 😊)
I hope your Halloween season is full of love, health, happiness, and lots of pumpkins!
