I am so happy to share with you my latest sewing project: The Foxglove Tank by Selvage Designs. I love this pattern and I LOVE this fabric. I first heard about this pattern from Indie Sew which is a website that supports independent pattern designers and also allows you to upload photos of your project so that others can take a peek at how you styled your new piece. So check it out. I actually was able to buy the pattern straight from their website. This pattern was so easy to follow and I have never seen instructions so nicely written. I am usually a sucker for needing actual photos and not drawings of my steps but the way the instructions were written it was very easy to follow along.
I cut a size Medium and did not length the front or back but looking back, I should of lengthened the front. The pattern was sized for a 5’6” gal and I am 5’10” on a good day. I should of known better. Its not bad, but if I decide to throw my hands in the air like I just don’t care, there will definitely be some mid section on display. I think for my next one, I will lengthen the front a bit. But otherwise the fit was good. 
Can we please talk about this fabric? My local fabric store Five Eighth Seams calls me whenever they get a new rayon or voile in the shop because it’s most favorite substrates to sew with. I just love the way they feel, I love the way they drape. Awwww, I just love them. And this voile has made its way to the top of my list as one of my favorites. This fabric is called Floral Asphalt which is from the Jungle Avenue collection that Sarah Lawson designed for Art Gallery Fabrics Limited Edition Collection. That was a lot of name dropping right there but you know I have to give credit where credit is due. I think the design on this fabric is so cute but without being too cute. And Art Gallery fabrics are such good quality fabrics. This print too is so full of color, you can match with a variety of different color bottoms.
Check out the racer back! Love it! Really shows off my….uh…freckles. (See children, this is what years of not using sunscreen will do to you!)
I used a teal colored fabric to make my own bias taping and I love how it turned out! Every so often you can catch a sneak peek of it when I move my arms! 
I have already cut out my fabric for a knit Foxglove and a cotton light weight cotton! This will definitely be a fun summer staple in my closet! Until next time!! xxxoo Priscilla
