It’s officially the one-year anniversary of my book Waiting on the Universe.
For those of you who don’t know, a year ago this week I published my first book of short modern style poetry. One hundred fifty three pages of poems and prose inspired by my struggles with infertility. Three separate chapters that flow from anxiously awaiting motherhood, to navigating the emotions grief and loss, and finally to hope and optimism all culminating in the birth of my first son.
Thanks to so many of you, on its release day, Waiting on the Universe was ranked the number the one new release in Fertility Books, in the top 10 for new releases in Grief and Loss books, and number two in All Poetry new releases.
I don’t say this to be boastful or to brag but just to show how there was a small niche in the world of infertility books that needed filling and I was able to come in and help fill that void. Even if it was just a little.
If you’ve gone through infertility than you know how isolating and alone you can feel but that you also get thrown into a world full of new lingo and new emotions that you’ve never heard or felt before. Navigating this new world is tough when you feel isolated and alone. And many have no one to talk to nor feel comfortable confiding in anyone. This book was my story and I am so happy to have shared and to still this day, a year later, be sharing my story and my support to so many.
I am giving away 3 copies of my book so head to my Instagram post for your chance to win!
Also don’t forget you can head to Amazon to purchase your copy of Waiting on the Universe.
